walking

Walking down the street tonight and I can't believe my eyes
there's a young man on a corner making money selling lies.
He says if your feeling down tonight let  this into your brain.
What he don't say is no refund if you through your life away
Young girl on a corner. She ain't seen sixteen years.
She'll sell you her body but you can't buy back her tears.
I wonder where she came from and what made her run away.
She's too young to blame her but not too young to pay.
I walk a little further there's an old man in the road.
He's weakend by the hunger and shivering from the cold.
I look into his empty eyes see the bottle in his hand
there's millions more just like him doesn't anyone give a damn.
God when you look down tonight and you see the mess we've made.
Please show us your mercy say that we can still be saved.
